RAPKYNS NURSERY JUNE 2014
We had a lovely afetrnoon visiting Rapkyns Nursery in Broad Oak, East Sussex. The weather was absolutely gorgeous, and we were made most welcome. Many of us bought some beautiful plants from the extensive selection on offer. We had refreshements courtesy of Rapkyns Nursery.
SUSSEX PRIARIE GARDENS
The group had a lovely day as Sussex Prairies Garden, Near Henfield. The weather was lovely. We had a talk by Pauline who explained how the garden was started and that her and Paul had followed there dream to design and create a beautiful garden in the heart of the Sussex Weald.
PASHLEY MANOR GARDENS TULIP FESTIVAL – SATURDAY 4TH MAY 2013
On 4th May we visited the award winning gardens what offer a sumptuous blend of romantic landscaping, imaginative plantings and fine old trees, fountains, springs and large ponds, with exceptional views over the surrounding countryside. Unfortunately the weather was not kind and the coach trip was cut short because of this. We left Pashley but on the way home we popped into Merriment Gardens for a coffee

During September we had our yearly trip to Wisley to see the Flower Show.
There were many exhibitors ranging from Derbyshire Bonsai, Hardy Cottage Garden Plants, Pennard Plants & GAP Garden products.
We also had the pleasure of see the National Dahlia Society Show & Surrey NAFAS
The group had a great day with the weather being good to us.

Of course we all look forward to our annual trips, a regular one each year to Wisley is greatly enjoyed by all that go. A look around the gardens to see all the exquisite flowers, followed by a trip to see how the professionals do it whilst training. The student garden areas, with their modern ideas. And not forgeting that lovelycup of tea and cake just to take a minute to reflect on the glory of the day.
